Highlights of the Frederick Hall collection in the Auburn Avenue Research Library Archives Division are 228 testimonials and correspondence dating from 1939 to 1950. Josephine Harreld Love collection

Overview

The collection contains one issue of the newspaper, The Georgia Broadaxe, May 11, 1912, vol. III, no. 13; one black and white 8" x 10" photograph of the home of Dr. Edgar and Mrs. Lizzie Bowden; and eight plaques of various sizes nailed onto a 21" x 23 ½" wooden board, which were presented to Mr. F. G. Mattox between 1966 and 1978 for "Outstanding Dedication and Service to Youths."

William M. Boyd collection

The collection consists of photgraphs taken between 1953 and 1955 of Boyd with important figures in the civil rights movement and the NAACP including Walter White, Horace T. Ward, Thurgood Marshall, Charles L. Harper, Rev. James M. Hinton, and Carl Johnson and in his role as a political commentator at WERD. The collection also contains a reproduction of an article entitled, "People You Should Know" that profiles Boyd.
